I was wrong. By the end of that abbreviated 1rst season, I had 2 broken/damaged T5s. For the next year, I bucked up for a used Jerico DR4, and a used McLeod Soft Lok clutch assembly, which I had rebuilt by McLeod. 10 seasons later, the Jerico is still untouched, even with my mid 10 second bracket engine in the car the past 1 1/2 years.. Good used T5s are worth a few hundreds bucks each, busted ones, next to nothing.

That's interesting - do you know why it didn't last once you started racing but was fine before?

I do have a spare that I was planning on rebuilding with G force internals. Supposedly they are good for 450 ftlbs but I've heard mixed things.

Thx for the input - ill look for ways to upgrade the trans/clutch
