Default Re: Check Out The New Rules 12/11/13 NHRA

Because I have 3 cars that are Fuel injected and have a bunch of wires that could be considered part of the ignition system. I was concerned about this new rule. So I called NHRA and left a message yesterday. Pat called me back this afternoon. He said " this is not a new rule it has been in the book for a long time in about 7 places". And "they amended it so it would all be in one place". I asked what I needed to do in regards to this rule to make all of them legal.
1. with a ls1 and a factory harness, factory ign switch ect ect.
2. with a lt1 and a painless harness minus the emission wires that were removed. and MSD7AL2 using a optispark and factory computer to run it.
3. a stock eliminator LT1 running Holley Commander 950 with MSD 7AL2

He said from what I had described. I was fine and did not need to do anything more. I don't think they are looking for factory wires and stuff wired in a normal manner to be pulled out and run separate/labeled. He did not say and honestly I forgot to ask what exactly they are looking for. But I thought I would pass along what I found out in regards to my stuff.
