I agree with Austin and Larry. Everyone was looking at the radar on their phones and wondered how wet we were going to get before R4 of Sc was finished. It's very easy to decide what should've been done. The spectators were already leaving because of the impending weather. No it did not rain until after midnight but at 8:30 on Sunday morning, it was raining and very wet, and cold, with not much sun in sight.
I think the decision was correct at the time, and the decision to find out how the racers wanted to complete the event the BEST way to handle a difficult situation.
