Nobody is wrong here about the Richard Duecker car but history has a way of creating confusion.
A. The car was built by Dave Koffel using leftover parts from Chryslers A/FX program. B. The chassis platform came from a wrecked A-990 from Owensboro Ky.That was wrecked in a towbar towing accident. It was monikered"Outlaw".It was a sedan and converted to a hardtop. C.Koffel sold the car running to two guys from Cleveland Oh.,Ron Latine and Tom Haner. After unsuccessfully trying to race the car it was sold to Duecker from Chippawa Ohio. The car was in pieces. D.Duecker had a few mishaps with the car and did a lot of work on it.He purchased some parts from me at the time. E. I recall the long ago conversation with him and Steve Reasbeck at Keystone about the car and clearly understand Steve recolections. F.I lost track of any further history of the car.Neither Dave or I recall the last wreck. G.This information is as good as we can garner and comes from past recollections of some old feeble minds as mine,Steve, and Dave Koffel.Richard Duecker is still alive and Dave and myself have run into him in past years. He ran at Dragway 42 near his home. H.Jim Kramer is reportedly to have told Dave Koffel that he aquired the T-Bars and K-Member years ago. Enjoy the time travel of younger days and old minds and hope we helped give some worthwhile information.Based on our memories or lack of.
