Alan, the car was built using a kit from Vic Custer East Texas Race Cars. Someone who worked for Vic did the rear section install. Greg Williams [D 4 comp racer] had the car built.

After a careful look the upper bars is more like about 70% the length of the lower bar. And it looks like it the upper bar mount conforms to the factory floor. This build was done about 8 years ago, maybe to follow a rule at that time?

Car has never been finished, never moved under power so do not know how it works.
