Problem with that is some of these guys don't even have a clue what they are doing much less looking at. I've been saying for YEARS that ALL tracks need tech people who have to stick 100% to the book. We don't race junk and have 4 cars now that range from 4.20's to 4.90 and our local guys don't even look at them. My last National Event I entered I about didn`t pass tech since my battery was in the stock location and I was using the stock battery mount. "I`ve never seen this before" was what was mumbled out of his mouth as I stood there and watched him go through his rule book. Maybe local track tech officials would be a good approach. My local track is by the book as far as tech is concerned.
