I will never know a person who LOVED OR WILL LOVE NHRA Super Stock racing more than Harry Sheehan. He was in his element at an NHRA race. The competition, the mechanics, the people and atmosphere, he just thrived. Every moment I spent with Harry, I will cherish forever. My condolences to the Whole Sheehan Family.
Harry, the constant prankster got me good at Columbus one year. I had one of those pair of baggy jeans when I was a kid and of course they were around my ankles after Harry saw me hanging on the fence watching. It was only in front of the large grandstand right as Top Fuel was running. I always wore a belt after that! Famously, some years later in 2004 at Columbus, Harry was so frustrated with a series of gremlins and transmission problems that he was ready to throw in the towel. The words... I QUIT were uttered a couple of times that weekend. However, that weekend, Tommy was on fire and won the race. We all know there with many successes after that. I will cherish all of the talks we had, the CB radio conversations on the road, the knowledge you gave me, and all of the racing and life lessons I have gained by watching you. Rest in Peace Harry.
