[QUOTE=Michael Beard;561958]This should already be the case, with just two lanes. We have run a complete race with over 400 entries, 1 time trial, and 1 round of Re-Entry style buybacks in one day, numerous times.
My point is that if they used all four lanes, even if just for qualifying and the first couple rounds, it would go almost twice as fast as a traditional two lane track. As far as racers whining about which set of lanes they are in, why not just adopt a standard track prep. Same prep to both sides before competition, same prep between classes, X number of passes by tractor, X gallons of traction compound, etc. Make whatever you do consistent between the lanes. It can't be any worse that sitting around all weekend waiting to run after numerous pros have run and track prep or conditions have changed from when you ran a time trial 36 hours ago.
