Hi Chuck - Yup you nailed it. When is the history book you're writing going to be released?
I met up with Robbie a few times when he had the wagon, but then he started running the Chevelle and I lost track of the wagon. It was a good car, no doubt about it. Was it not that car and his ramp truck that got stolen and ended up back east somewhere? I remember him telling me a story about it and how it was eventually recovered. Don't quote me I'm not 100% sure. Cal M. taught me everything I ever knew on the 220/283. I have always been deeply grateful for all his help and friendship. He had the 66-R/SA wagon. 66-Q/SA 4dr Caprice, and P/SA 66 Chevelle - all 220/283. Cal Queapama also ran a wagon of course. He was a good guy and great competitor. We had some good visits. I bought my Wagon in '76 I think. Took to Cal's (Method) in the spring of '78 and he went through it and made me look good from then on. lol I don't ever recall getting around Cal heads up - he always seemed to have a nickel on me. lol A year or two later Cal and I both added the third seat so we could run R or T/SA. It worked good so we could stay out each others way when we were at the same races. A little bit useless trivia for you. Cheers Chuck P
