Try a fin change in the converter.
A little work there can take the violence of the hit out. A little work there won't hurt stall and can improve TQ multiplication. You could even put a pressure dump valve to control converter pressure at the hit. ( effective, soften) IMHO This track prep is only going to get worse as prices for the glue increase. With a combination that is adjustable you can bring the car to all the track will hold instead of wasting time doing a second burn out. I like the 1.26's that some tracks let my little V-6 lay out, but I'm happy with 1.32's and a clean run at other tracks. Good Luck Don... I'm betting you get a handle on it.
