I really don't know which forum to go to, but you guys seem to yank the wheels better & have to follow more tire rules, so I figured I would try here.
I'm having trouble hooking consistently with my ET streets ("12.5" X 30) & wanted to get some input before I throw money at some new slicks. The car is an all steel 67 Cutlass, 461 Olds, t400, 4800 stall, 3.70 9" rear, H&R sway bar, air bags at 6 lbs, full 3" Pypes exhaust w/ X pipe. Guessing at least 3700 lb w/ fat driver. Best ET to date is 10.909 @ 124. Mainly a bracket car but want to be able to dabble in the 10.90 classes. I was thinking about stiff sidewall slicks. I'm limited to 10.5" wide & 30" tall. If I go a little narrower & or shorter I could lose the air bags. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
