Default NHRA Stock Eliminator Rear End Rules

I just twisted the stock housing on my 77 Camaro 8.5" GM 10 bolt. I am thinking of going 12 bolt as a replacement rear, but someday I hope to run this car as a stocker. Reading the NHRA rule book it is not black and white on swapping rear ends. "Original rear end may be replaced with another of the same type from the automobile manufacturer". Does this mean I have to run a 8.5" 10 bolt since this was the only option for my car or can I go to another GM rear (ie 12 bolt)?
Also, does the rear housing have to be an OEM housing or could a guy use a Moser 12 bolt aftermarket (stock type) housing?
Any insight into this rule would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chad
