I was wondering the same thing when I read Jok's rant about this.....

But there is nothing actually new, the rule has been the same for a long time, just never enforced......like the $10 per pit vehicle ruling a couple of years ago.

Pit accidents are one of the leading losses for track insurance, that is a fact.
