Question on Stage War's & ESPN Interviews

Can someone explain why the NHRA cant adopt a "stage rule"?
As in "the first vehicle to pre-stage is the last to stage"

It would diminish all the stage games, and obvious burn downs in every catagory?
Some are tired of seeing the same competitors intentionally do it every time they have to race?

AS far as ESPN's coverage, Why do they insist on airing insert interviews while other catagories are preparing to stage to make they're respective runs?
