Travis,
Congrats, on a well deserved award.. To a guy that calls them like he see them, too bad more of the NHRA people don't do the same....You are in step and we appreciate the effort....Long over due award.......

Thank you to everyone. It is a great honor to win this award.
2009 is my 41st year teching dragracing. Been a Stock/SS techman since I started in1969 at an outlaw track. Hired on at Ohio Valley Raceway in 1970. Worked my first NHRA National event in 1973 at Englishtown. Even teched some truck and tractor pulls in the late 70's thru the early 80's with Army Armstrong. While I learned a lot on my own, I must give credit to four of my greatest mentors. Unfortunately they are no longer with us. They are Farmer Dismuke, Marty Barrett, Dave Danish, and Don "Pinky" Cobbs. I sure miss those guys. They taught me well. Again thanks to everyone for the kind words, Travis Last edited by Travis Miller; 01-18-2009 at 10:15 PM. |
