I ran a 4cyl. 63 Chevy II in Z/sa . It wasnt very quick but it was the only one around. Dave Danish cut his hand on a rust hole in the fender at the first points meet I ever entered. I think the only reason he let me race at all was because he had never seen one .The engine had the same specs. as a 194 cu. 6 cyl except it was only 151 cu...

How about Ellis Buth in W/S with a Pinto Wagon. One of these days he may need a new pair of slicks. NHRA record holder 15.83. His brother Marty isn't much of a slouch with the "Half a V-8" Turbo T-Bird. Marty usually qualifies near the top of the field.

I'd give a vote to anything with 4 doors, or an inline 6.
I just sold a 63 Tempest with a 4cyl/Q-jet, was going to try racing it but thought better of it when I priced transaxle components... |
