They don't run like they did in '55... LOL! Can you say "hi-stall"???? ![]() Makes me wonder how one would run wih a '53 Olds Dual Range hydro, like we had in the sedan deliveries in the '60s... Might need to change that 2.63:1 "2nd gear" out for something more like a 2.30:1.... The ratio drop from 2nd to 3rd (45% drop) was always a traumatic experience for the reciprocating assembly. NHRA would never buy it, though.... 4 speeds instead of 3.... Thanks for your comments, Gene. Your car is fast... low 1.50s is killer for a small-engine 'glide car, I think! I can see your point; you really don't need a 3-speed... Bill
