In another thread I was comparing similarities in an engine combo when it dawned on me to look up a couple of new combos and see how they compare. I have to say that I'm suprised that no one has brought this up sooner.
2007 Chry. 345 ci. 10.5 comp. 2.00/1.55 valves .482/.470 cam 345 factory HP NHRA factor 345HP 2009 Chry. 345 ci. 12.7 comp.2.10/1.60 valves .584/.552 cam 305 factory HP NHRA factor 305 HP 2007 Ford 330 ci. 9.5 comp. 2@1.456/2@1.259 valves .468/.468 cam 500 factory HP NHRA factor 500 HP 2008 Ford 330 ci. 9.38 comp. 2@1.456/2@1.259valves .413/.413 cam 425 factory HP NHRA factor 425 HP And in the case of the Ford I think that the blower will make the smaller cam and valves a moot point. There will soon be many of these under rated combos out there ruining every class that they can fit in and this weeks gripe is one big, old cadillac! Wake up boys! We've got "storm clouds on the horizon"!

Agreed, but when the new cars try to outrun each other during class or eliminations and run way under, won't they get factored after that?
