Bill,
I guess that's like the AMC / MOPAR shotgun wedding that put Dana 60's in the AMX. Just to set the record straight, the last Pontiac rolled off the assembly line 28 yeras ago in 1981. Bob

Bob,
FYI, NHRA told Evans to take out his aluminum 9" center section. Even after it appeared in ND as a tech article. It falls under "no light-weight components unless otherwise specified" in the rulebook. Obviously there are many loop holes under that category. Please email me at the address below. I want to discuss something else with you. Thanks, Jeff

I saw a post from Larry Hill earlier that switching to a Dana did not slow him down, although I assume he was able to maintain the same weight by removing ballast. Maybe you are saying the same thing but being more subtle :-) Bill Lamb Last edited by 340Cuda; 05-02-2009 at 10:15 AM. |

I have heard of Max Wedge cars going faster with the Dana's. Just look under John Shaul's car, if it will make it faster it's on John's car.

Years ago Car Craft did a back to back at the track test of an 8 3/4 to a Dana 60 in an A-Body. No difference.

I have done this to two different cars and the A body car worked better with the Dana. The wagon we changed alot of stuff at once but its .07 quicker in 60 now than it was 2 weeks ago.
