Default Re: Accusump

I used the large Moroso unit. Ours were manual but might use electric unit. I felt it might be just one more thing to screw up at a race. Some people leave it full after a race to preoil before restart next week I did not. I left the pan full with the unit OFF till I was ready to make a run. Then all oil was hot and opened the valve manually before the run. Closed it again after the run so the instant you restart in the pits all pressure goes to the bearings etc not the Accusump. Worked well in all my previous cars this way. Good Luck. Remember the set up and oil volume you run will need to be carefully set so the sump doesnt starve the motor by getting the pan level too low.
