Jack brings up a valid point, if a guy/gal takes an odd ball combo and goes out there and runs consistent 1.30+ under runs no one bitches. It's the guys in the prima donna upper classes who drive the Big Block Chevy's who can't stand the fact that the new and old Shelby's and Cobra Jets are fast. If NHRA rated each combo fairly across the board we all be same distance apart. Just race already d$%^.

3 of Hajek's Cobra Jets were in Wichita Saturday. Lots of 9.70 passes with one pass 9.72 @138 and some change.

Big deal, David Barton of the famous Barton family went 9.79 at Norwalk in much less than ideal conditions in his famous 65 Hemi ... Oh, by the way the Sorenson family went 10.14 in B at a factored track, how fast is that in A or AA at a sea level track ... Bob Shaw has built some of the most impressive cars as far as running under their respective indexes. Pop corn, get your pop corn here ... what a circus this has become ..
