Default Re: Question about seats in a Stocker

The NHRA rule book as it reads right now says. Full factory type upholstery, including factory-tpe floor mats or carpet, door panels and headliner, and front and rear seats.

That is right out of the rule book. Again notice the words factory type. It does not say "stock upholstery and seats". Or mention they must even be correct year factory type seats. Just factory type.

I can't say what happened at Indy as I don't know the people involved and didn't even know about it until Jack brought it up. However, going by the written rule in their own book. They have no grounds to throw anybody out as long as the seat is a correct factory type seat. Funny however that they'll throw you out for a non folding seat but some of them heads out there that we've seen in the tear down barns that are given the blessing to continue on. Gotta love stock eliminator.
