I would say that you need to look at what 2nd gears are available that will work best for your particular combo then make a decision from there. Both are fast......

I run the Coan 350, never had a Pro-flite, from the gear ratio selection and the internal components I doubt one is faster than the other. Someone with some very deep pockets may be able to compare the two. but I doubt there's much if any. Joe P.S. and lighten up sometimes it takes a while to get a response here

You're asking a question for which there is no set correct answer.
I do not know anyone who has done any serious A-B-A testing, for one thing, and considering the two transmissions would be over $10K by themselves, I'd say I know why. The next thing is when you get to that level, the difference may be less than 0.05 and maybe 0.5 MPH. So you're asking for the car to be able to repeat pass to pass far less than that in order to get a valid test. Finally, the converter and the gear ratios are more likely to make a real difference. I know the Coan has a huge list of possible gear combinations available. For a smaller engine and/or a heavier car, the correct gear ratios may be so important that they will be the big deciding factor. And unless you know someone with an absolutely identical car, you'll be the one figuring that part out.
