Snopes says Texas has no special legal rights insofar as flags are concerned.

I got called out of town on business lst minute so I was not able to attend the event

But, track has been only open for a couple weeks, I expected a few snafus

I'm not sure of actual number but, I bet its one of a very few to open in the last few years all considering, should be thankful !

Man, if you complain about the Texas flag and sun ... You can't be from Texas !!

Cheers !

From what I have heard is that cars were backed up and stopped on the freeway and deemed hazardous by the State Troopers. It happened before at one of their first races and a number of citation were given out.

Kyle,

Thanks for the opportunity. You have two very nice cars! Some days we just do not have any luck. Making a few passes has put some fire in me to get my car done...

As you said, more good times to come!

Talk to you soon.

Ken

I would think the law enforcement would want to help people out, but I guess they just wanted the $$.

Sounds like the owner and the sheriff need to have lunch sometime to work this out.

I don't think it's the county guys but the State Troopers causing the ruckus. At least from what I've heard from locals. One told me the State guys hang around on that stretch of road and ticket you for 63 in a 60 MPH zone !
There is a very nice housing development jusy a half mile away on the north side of the freeway. All lots are one acre or more and houses in the 3,000 Sq. Ft.range. I asked one Deputy how that would affect the track and he said as long as IHRA would bring races there then that track would remain there !
I think the situation will improve before next year and it should go smoothly next year.
This is one house for sale in that housing tract and is NICE......
