Impressive list to say the least. Had to laugh a while back, I ran across an old car magazine from the seventies. Martinez and Barth were featured and in the picture was a Holiday Inn towel on the front end of the Vette. Saw this many times at Rockingham when I was a kid, brought back some good memories. This was before the two step and the slipper clutch set ups. Those cars were violent and very fun to watch.

Joe,,,don't know if its a typo,,or a misspelled name on your info prior to posting that very impressive list,, but the name of the driver/owner of the Joint Venture Corvette, is Jim Warter,, not Walter. Hes still racing today with a Camaro in Comp and his son Ryan has a Firebird in Stock.

What a great list of Modified & Comp Cars....

My C/SM C/Super Modified sat idle from about 1978 to 2007. I built a mild 327 for the car and took it out of mothballs in 2007 when I joined NETO - North East Timing Association (http://www.neto-nostalgia.com/) and started racing with the Nostalgia Club. Tony Feil, an old modified production racer and great engine builder, (http://www.neto-nostalgia.com/biodetail.cfm?id=8) is our club president.

Check out our club site. We have about 16 races a season, have about 100 members, and we always welcome new members. Most cars are 1972 and older. We race for FUN, trophy's and have a points system for our two classes. http://www.neto-nostalgia.com/results.cfm
