My view of the event is.....E-Town is a tough place to run a race like this anymore because of the curfews. Can't start engines before 10 am and can't run past 6pm during the week. I'm not sure what the curfew times were during this event..... All NHRA national events are going to be the same as far as Sportsmen racers are concerned.....If things go wrong schedule wise because of weather.....Sportsman categories are going to sit while the Pro's run......

E-Town is 1 hour from my home.....If I was racing this event.....I might still be there!

I refuse to race with the NHRA National Event Circus....no matter where it is....
I agree with you Rich, E-Town is 1-1/2hrs for us from NYC, I love the facility, we might go again sometime in the future, but for now, we really dont miss the Nationals.

Well, I'll give them credit for at least evidently trying to get the race in tonight.

Well I left you guys hangin' -- After I went red by .006 I couldn't think of anything but get on the road and home to my own bed .After that many days of doin' nothing I couldn't stand it anymore .Good news is they kept racing after I left and as you will see from Drag Race Centrals results it was Fast ! So much for hot and sticky after rain days -- good weather blew in around lunch time and just kept getting better all day .

Maybe someone who is still there tomorrow can give us some early results .

Later in the week its off to Atco and the Lucas Oil race -- not to mention the Stock / SuperStock Ten Grand deal on Thursday .

Before I forget --Today is Gary Parkers birthday and his first official day of retirement -Yep , he hung up his hose for good - Good Luck Gary !

PS-- Little side note about the 'oilers'-- the day got late not because of oilers oiling the track but because the oilers got into the catch net a couple of times .

Thumbs up Re: Live from Englishtown -- NHRA SuperNationals

Now I know this is a Stock & S/S thread but.... I thought it was absolutely GREAT that the last pair down the track yesterday at 8:55 PM when the place was emptied out and not much of any other background noise was the Pro Mod final. Blown & screaming 5.80's from both had to be an extra auditory "treat" for the neighbors on a Sunday night.

Message sent maybe???
