Wayne, you hit it right on the head...
I'm too old/impatient/something and I really got bored with Div racing...I love all the fun after hours and enjoy seeing racers that I would only see at the D1 races, but that being said, after about 10 years of a steady diet of it...... Right now I'm racing the NESSA series (a 10.90 series at LVD), bracket racing, "special events" racing, I did the LVD D1 race and will probably race ETown, going to race in Maryland Labor day and having a great time...makes for a nice mix of racing, and all are one day races, or Sat/Sun events....

We cut WAY Back this year on our NHRA races this year, just tired of sitting around and being last out and first to be bumped. I talked to a well known S/C racer this year at Atco and he told me "I really don't know why and how you still want to race Super Gas". "He told me he would have already been bracket racing by now if he ran S/G cause the way they are treated and he's right. I mean I still go to the NHRA races to watch and go see friends and hang out and throw a few beers back but I'd rather spend my $ 200 bucks at a MASGA Race when I get 2 races in a weekend, we are treated like the show, get 2 time shots per day and not have to get bumped unless bad weather is rolling in and you get a kick ***** BBQ put on by Uncle Buck. Trust me once the MASGA season is over in mid august the car is going into full bracket racing mode. Running MASGA and Brackets in 2010.

I don't know how you S/G guys do it. Your always the last ones out, first to get bumped. Here's an idea.........switch up the schedule so everyone takes turns being last. I understand that S/ST and Stock go out first for a reason, but why not switch up the other classes so everyone takes a turn getting boned!

When I went out to the D-7 Race in Phoenix this year they do things the correct way. Now I know they don't get as many cars as D-1 gets but the run order is done by Slowest Class to Fastest. So it goes Stock, S/Street, Super Stock, S/G, S/C, Motorcycle, Comp, T/D, T/S, TAFC & TAD. I think thats why you are seeing less and less S/G guys at events. I know everyone wants a wally to put in their house and use as a paperweight but, I agree that they should switch it up and not make S/G last all the time and maybe we might start to see the car counts come back up. Maybe it's just because we spend too much time in the bars at night so they want us to work the hangover off first before we get into our cars to race.
