I saw Hal & Joe at this past weekend's National Open, just hanging out watching the combo class run. I had to run back as my class was called, so didn't get to chat with them. Last I saw they don't have a toterhome, so it would be an awfully expensive trip for them.

Regards,

I'll give you a more realistic idea. He tows to a neutral division race (we'll use the sportsnationals in Belle Rose as an example). He makes a run which would weather factor to within the record backup of his record run. He then submits to a nice, thorough D4 teardown and tech inspection. If he passes, his fuel bill gets paid ( notice that at this time I am not offering to pay the fuel bill, this is just discussion), a beer, and the recognition as the baddest man in the land.

Why, you ask? well after the way the D6 crew handled "radiatorgate", I would prefer someone ELSE put their eyes on it. PS i have no interest in the intake for $500, $5000, or for free.
Why is it that whenever anyone puts a challenge out there like "show up at this track, or that track" that's "neutral", it's always closer and more convenient for the challenger? Pensacola to Belle Rose-268 miles. Woodburn, OR to Belle Rose-2542 miles. Why not drive yourself to Las Vegas and bring a tech inspector of your choice and go to a track where there's no danger of going -1.40!

what part of "example" couldn't you read. I just picked a track, it could be anywhere with competent tech. and for the no danger of -1.40, I want to see scoreboard numbers, not mathemateical calculations. 1.40 under in AA/SA is a 9.50, i think he is safe there

The first thing you would see would be taillights, IF you were to show up.

Mark, that was never a question. If we were that fast and legal, I wouldn't wonder how he did it. thanks for that Captain obvious.

Happy to help with the obvious. Maybe they do it with hard work, lots of testing, a phenomenal car, and fine tuning everything on the engine and car.
But lets just say they must not be legal since they're fast....

I never stated that the car wasn't legal, actually I hope it is. However if i had a hotrod that fast, you'd have to shoot me to keep me from trying to make the new CJ's run hard to win class at Indy.
