At the 75 NHRA winternationals Bill & I {running 1 of his engines} had to change class from ss/ha to ss/ga because NHRA upped the 396-325 H.P.,
Bill said to me," why don't we get a 69 body for you & you run ss/ha & I'll stay in ss/ga. He found me this 69 and he pulled the drive train out of the 68 & put it in the 69. I only won 1 NHRA ss/ha class with that car , but was class r/u 5 times , set the AHRA & IHRA class records won class in both with the car Bill built for us....... GOD's speed to our friend.............. |

Sorry to hear of Bills passing. Years ago, when he was working w/ Bo Butner we struck up a conversation at the IHRA race in Bradenton. He was so willing to give me advice on the carb set up for my combination...I tried what he suggested and it worked flawlessly. I haven't seen him in quite a few years, that's my loss for sure. God speed Bill.
