Well after raining, thunder and lightning til about 4 this morning, it finally stopped. Then started again about 7. That was when we decided to pack up and head home. Larry, Chris and I all have to work tomorrow and it is a 10 hour drive home. So we are now on the road almost back to Columbus. It had stopped raining at the track and the sun looked like it was trying to come out, but then it started raining again after we were on I-70. We saw Dave Edwards leaving too and someone said Terry Nagle had left also. We were supposed to run Brent Darroch this morning and he had not gotten a time trial, so I guess he will get one today

Sorry I didn't get any more pictures than I did, but nobody got their cars out of their trailers all day Sat. Maybe I can get some for you next week in Memphis.

Well I guess that is all for now, but I will be back on about Thurs. next week.

Hope everyone has a safe trip home and don't have to get pulled out. We were parked on the rock road so we didn't have any problem, but the ground is really saturated and lots of mud puddles.

Patsy I think I read some place that they were allowing people to withdraw, that way the entry fee isn't all lost.

I think this is only for folks who came in after qualifying Friday night and Saturday.

Man, am I glad we decided to come on home. We already have the motorhome unloaded and they haven't even run the 2nd round yet!

Nothing posted on DRC past third round. Did they finish? Are they racing today?

Or did they decide to have a .400 pro tree practice tree tournament with no roll out adjustment so that the person who simply has the fastest reflexes wins to decide champions like they did at the IHRA Bracket Finals in Pittsburgh?

There appeared to be no push to get the event moving towards completion. They ran a pair of turbo diesel trucks down the track with almost no one in the stands about 6:30 PM.
Junior dragster got a time trial when it was obvious that there no way the would run any kind of eliminations that day. I left because I had to go to work today and I felt it was becoming too dangerous to race. The dew has starting to come in real heavy and I have witnessed some bad accidents under the same kind of conditions at this place. I took some pictures of what they did to the track between 200 ft and 400 ft that I will post later. I got out of shape in second gear in that area in the first round but was lucky enough to dial for it.

I stayed until they pulled the hook just short of Midnight. The track was iffy for the high HP cars. McDaniel's SS/AH cranked off 2 8.49 in a row 2nd and 3rd round I think. I came home to KY around 3 AM.

Today the weather is windy but looks fast.
