That's got to be Sanford. I ran all around that track many years ago as a kid watching dad & Mr. Ebern Watson hoping one day to drive a super stocker. That is the famous Ebern Watson that wheeled the one and only "Super Rooster" camaro!

I believe that is the old Fayetteville track. I ran that car (Law and Order, sponsored by Gordon Thompson Chevrolet) at Fayetteville, Dunn Benson and Sanford, but I don't remember Sanford being that wide, and at one time, it had grass between the lanes. I believe the picture was taken in 1970.

Ebern, I think there was a track at Dickson. There was also a track close by at Fairview. Fairview and Dickson are both a little west of Nashville off of I-40. As you leave Nashville headed west on I-40, if you know where to look, and you look closely, you can see the remains of Riverside, all the property is still there, as well as part of the lights, and maybe part of the tower. You can see the track itself, but it is ruined. The surrounding area now has so many houses the track will never re-open. Lawrenceberg is still in operation, a friend of mine, Russell Hunt is running it now. There used to be a bunch of tracks around here, the other day a customer was in the shop talking about a track where there was a cooking pit under the tower, and the smoke from the pit would rise up through and around the tower.
