Who needs gaurdrails!

Where are the cops? In my teens we used to do the same thing, we would find a no access road, block off both ends and race all night...it was the most fun.

I remember one night there were a bunch of guys drinking and we asked them to stop, when they didn't we just closed up and went home...and it was in New Jersey!

Nice video, the start of that deserves an Academy Award nomination. Very cool to see the track getting use again. Most of the defunct Michigan strips are still there, Tri City, TBird, Grattan, Motor City and M38 (Brohman) I hope it could be the start of a trend.

Looks like they're having a good time! There was even a 'fart can' car there (red Honda)...just like Main Street of Anywhere'sville, U.S.A.

I liked the green Dart Scamp.................really.

You are so right, I too can remember the days when Detroit Dragway had so many cars they needed to run them 4 abreast to get the show in. I really miss that place.
