The other interesting point about Onondaga, there is no return road. They bunch up the cars on the long end until they decide to let the group come back to the starting line. What if someone loses control or braking. This whole deal scares me. It may be much safer than the street but I think ir is an accident waiting to happen. It was a lot safer in the 60's when I raced there with a high 13 second car. I think it is noble and nostalgic but today's cars are too fast without all of the sanctioned safety equipment. Just ask someone who has crashed or went off the end of the track.
