I was told in Houston that my cage didn't meet spec. Wesley said put a 4gc carb on it and put 200lbs in it and run GT/H or load it up and go home period. Also was told don't come back without a new cage in your car. ED

The first time I ran my car at Gainesville was a Test N Tune night. First 1/4 mile full pass 9.95. You would have thought I had committed the un pardonable sin... At the ticket booth I was told to go straight to tech. Not back to my trailer first just straight to tech... Track manager and I believe even Don came to tech. They wanted to see my chassis cert. I didn't have one... The cage was there but just not certified.. I was told if I made another pass under 10 seconds I would be banned from the track for one year. I packed up my game and went home. Got the car certified and all was well..... this is a NHRA owned track and I understand the rules and don't have a problem with them as long as we ALL play by the same rules....... Just my 2 cents worth........

Ah yes! The rules that we all have to play by. Depending, of course, on who your friends are, who your sponsors are, how much you're willing to spend and how much you're willing to bitch.

This isn't the first time he dialed 10.0 and went way faster.I was at Concord and he did it there. I guess he has no respect for authority.LOL I'm guessing he'll finish out the year and put the car in his collection and move on to something else, like a lot of guys with money often do. America is a wonderful place.

Greg,
The '08 CJ Coupe is now rated at 439 for manual only, with a weight break of 7.38. It is now a AA car only. |

Ken....Do you mean AA/GS ? Just kidding. Not bad for an almost untouched engine and maybe almost another year before the automatics get some HP. How is your piece doing. Was it the track or did you lose a little HP lately? Playing it safe? Its better to run fast without the "hair dryer". Just keeping my eye on you...LOL. See you at the Dutch? Take care.
