It was wicked air. First time I've raced in below sea level corrected. Wheelie bar took a beating!

As I sat in staging shivering (38 degrees) with dew soaked windows, I thought NHRA's motto should change from Dedicated to Safety to Dedicated to Getting the Race in; I had the opportunity to watch Troy's A/S from the water box in the second round wondering about the "hook" and even if I had the cojones to go down the track....as he stood it right up and hauled off I figured I could get down the track as well...what a show

Couldn't agree with you more Randall. The race ran much later than it should of Saturday evening. I let the coordinator know that when the dew point is reached our cars are not safe. Too much power vs weight and tire size. It was wagging the tail round 2 and I had to shut it off but got lucky. Round three the car drove out of the groove and I clutched it and called it a night. Even I'm not that fearless.
