I'd like to second what Joe had to say about the D! crew and the track. This is my first year running NHRA but I have run lots of IHRA stuff in the past and Saturday morning was one of the most impressive things I've seen done by a race track. Everyone knew Friday night when it started raining that is wasn't supposed to stop until Sunday. 100% chance of rain on Saturday, but I woke up to the sound of TWO jet dryers running on the track and a number of other pieces of equipment. I thought they were crazy, everyone knew it was going to rain, but it didn't for a while and we got 3 or 4 hours of runs in on Saturday. That was impressive to me. Normally I wouldn't have run the Classic because of the distance from my house but after that showing I will be looking for reason to go back. They proved to me that they were there to race and they were going to do whatever was possible to make it happen.
Great job guys and gals! Bob |

Div. 1 guys don't get enough credit for the job they do. Everyone always complains about the money and the cost of racing , but the Div. 1 guys have really busted their butts this year for what little they make. The guys on the west coast who collect a check, and aren't out on tractor prepping the track ,and dealing with all the rain we had this year. Well we won't talk about that. But i do have to to give props to
Bob Lang , Dave M. ,Dave L.,Rick C. , and all the rest of the guys. thanks for all your HARD WORK! |
