The noon start time on Sundays is because of the church at the end of the track, I believe. For years, the gates opened at 9 am and they ran Jr Dragsters from 10-noon. The past five years or so it's been nothing til noon on Sunday, and all "big" cars. I'm guessing they start at noon to keep peace among the locals. Jack/Robert, you guys had a great day Sunday, always glad to see a Pittsburgh-er do well. I imagine it is pretty hard to hot lap a SS/Mod car. Hope to see you guys next year. P.S. What car did Jake have there Sunday, was it a Comp car or Top Sportsman or ??. Didn't see a class on the window or how quick it ran.

You are correct, for as long as I can remember (30+ years) no "big" cars down the track before noon on Sundays.

EXACTLY!...Jake was running the old 316 that used to be in our car when we ran C/SM in the nineties. The car ran a best of 8.88 /150 in 1996. He ran a respectable 8.17 /157 during Sunday's t&t. That car is a D/A (sort of) . He has not run it at any event. Need's a "serious motor"
