Epping started hosting their own Chevy only event after their Super Chevy show was dropped. Perhaps Indy will do the same, wouldn't hurt to suggest it.

It was horribly attended this year. Race was down, car show was down. Weather was bad, which never helps. But many thought it was poorly run.
I knew Gustin wasn't coming back. Not surprised the new owners didn't try the venue again. |

We lost the Super Chevy event here in Seattle many years ago. Another "Chevy" magazine came in and tried to keep it going, but it was like going from a major league team to a minor one,, just not the same. They were gone after that one year and that was it, no more Chevy show and its been like that for over 10 years,,good luck with your situation back there.

Not knowing, but I would guess that NHRA owns Indy and that NHRA wanted too much of the gate $ for SC to function like they do. Just a guess!

You can rent Indy for about $3500 a day including insurance and everything. Most people are shocked how cheaply you can rent it out. Lots of events here each year from the traveling promoter shows. Not sure why Super Chevy had to fail here. But I don't think you can blame the track cost.
