I know Mark has been around and builds great cars. As someone earlier stated the economy is the issue and with 3 kids its hard to spare the cash. I have the car already and the parts, my labor is free. I wanted to know if the combo can be competetive.

Joe Cool108,
there really isn't any reason you shouldn't beel able to be competitve. Engine specs are very similar to the 1976 models that run competively. The dual plug head design and EDIS may take a while to figure out but shouldn't be a big problem. Go to www.wilsonracingms.com for MS2 bolt in engine management system. Bo at www.bo-port.com can help with head and cam. I have 1992 that I originally was going to run but then got the Turbo Copue and decided to go different direction with the 92 Mustang. I know with what I played around with on the '92 2.3l it wasn't that far off and way over weight. I should have been able to be competitive. Good Luck.

Well if the car is too heavy, doesnt that put it at a disadvantage? I know class racing rules are very restrictive. I prefer to race in a class, its much more of a challenge than a bracket car.

Joe,
The Mustang I ran was myson's everyday driver until his death. IT was a loaded LX 2.3L auto car with pwr everything. The car weighed 3280 with my nephew in it and he is 30 lbs. lighter than me while class weight with driver could be 2795lbs. I bracket raced it a few times just to get an idea if it would be competitive and I think with work it could be but bought a 1986 Turbo Coupe to run instead.

Would this car because it is fuel injected be put in a FI class? Is there one that low in the food chain, or would it just go in the regular lower level classes with carb cars?
