Jim Carter,
It's stated as "50 units of an already accepted body style"
It's now the body, not the drivetrain. Like it or not, NHRA now has a crate motor class. I wonder if it will stop here? I doubt it. I assume we will have something like IHRA's crate motor class, even if a motor is an electrical device and an engine is what we run in our race cars.

What are these engines...complete and direct from the Ford-dealer?..with the car or do you build them? all ford parts or Edelbrock top ends? Roller or hyd cams? inj. or carbs ? valve sizes etc...

Jeff:
Does this mean I can put an L-88 in my Chevelle? I think GM sold at least 50 Chevelles in any given year. What's good for the goose...

Let's get this straight if you have a 2008 CJ it's rated at 439hp and is a AA/Stock only ,but the NEW AND IMPROVED 2010 CJ is rated at 435hp and can fit in A and AA, so if your a CJ racer you better call your 2008 a 2010 and get 4hp off, MERRY CHRISTMAS from ford and NHRA!!!! OH AND HAPPY 2010.

Too many body differences for that to happen.

You cannot call a 2008 a 2010 not the same body as I understand it!

Chad how did FI classes fix anything? The LT1 was at 325 hp when FI classes were created and 336 when it was dropped. 11hp of the total 71hp given came from when FI cars had there own classes. Again how did FI classes fix anything? Don't give me that crap. What about the newer GTO being rated at 340 when the same motor is rated 373 in a camaro or firebrid. Get over it. Almost every combo is soft when it comes out. It's simple work on you ***** and spend more money. And if you can't hang with the big boys in A,B&C just do what I do run a lower class car and be fast. Now quit crying.

Trying to make a 2008 mustang a 2010 is like making a 1967 camaro a 1969 you really can't do it very easy.
