Hmmm..well to be honest I dont know what "Sportsman of the Year" entainls, nor do I really care, not much for title and accolades.

Do they have a category for "Professional Dishpit and Screwoff" ? If so please feel free to nominate me.....

Cheers

Well good luck on your project/projects... Sounds like you are already "sportsman" of the year for 2010 (in your own mind, of course) [/QUOTE]

Man, I want some of whatever you been drinking ! I hope you do find something, that will run like you're saying ! You'll burn down the( Internet) house, if you can get it there.

Wait just a minute, have you found out where Painter keeps his 'shine ?

I have been reading all your posts Mr. Drooze ! We will be going to the first few National Races (Pomona, Phoenix, and Vegas). We are not retired or have the means to go to all the National Races like you can. However, how about a friendly bet? Bring anything you own (Challenger, Yugo, Smart) ! I'll bet you a dinner for Every Qualifier in Stock that I qualify further Under than you do in my Welfare $10,000 invested Truck . . . . John Irving : Irving Family Racing .....Dumbass Hillbilly Welfare Stock Racers who should go back to Bracket Racing ..... according to some of the rich boy's posts I read this Week ! By the way do you pals who all run 2 to 3 seconds under in their Rwd Stockers have names?

Drooze, 48 days to get ready for the winternationals and 50 of the 80 spots still open, good luck. Maybe you could get the same people that helped Don Garlits? to work on your Challenger. I could loan you a slow stocker to race, it only run`s 1 second under the new index.Tom

Lol...Im not driving....the car is but weve got a driver for Pomona, I build em, I cant drive for ****, I have more fun tinkering.

Were testing first or 2nd week of Jan depending on which set of headers gets here first, thats the only thing were waiting on, interior goes back in tommorow, wiring and plumbing this week and down to have it fitted with the ECU and if I have headers dyno pulls, yeah I dont think so on the Garlits thing if you are talking tranny and ecu he ran at indy, Chassis , yes we did, I followed the leader on that one and I am glad I did the work is spectacular , I dont know what headers he had on then. Leave Ohio on the 4th, in Pomona on the 7th. Were good short of breakign something major in testing. Im hoping to be able to run at least 1.20 under , this car should be able to do it easy, but well see if our gear and tire runout choices were right, but I dont have time to do all the motor work Id like to with all the other stuff......

Ill know by 2nd week of January and have 2 weeks to changeup.

Well see, all our fate at this point lies in the hands of the guys and our ECU, but its running (the DP manifold) on the SRT8 so we should be good there.

Cheers

Chris

Ok.....

Well....I do have the means so Im not going to apologize for that. But there is more to it than that, I will send you that in a PM as well.

Ive got more respect for a 10k "Welfare truck" and someone who did the work themselves than you can imagine, you dont know me so you probably dont know that.

Im a little leary to wager when I dont know your combo, you could be sandbagging it out lol...you may be able tun run 2 or 3 under...........but its dinner , youre ON.... For the record wager accpeted , even though I have a feeling I stepped in it not knowing your combo, its like going all in 4 cards to a flush on the flop, 37% chance of hitting it, and where youre down on chips the odd are too horrible......Now that Ive accepted I would like to know which combo you are talking about, I see you / family has run several last year, which am I betting against ?

I seriously , and I mean SERIOUSLY, hope you dont somehow make the correlation that a) I ever called anyone a hillbilly, and b) I sure hope like hell you arent reffering to me by your comment "John Irving : Irving Family Racing .....Dumbass Hillbilly Welfare Stock Racers who should go back to Bracket Racing ..... according to some of the rich boy's posts I read this Week !" Uhhhhhhh.....maybe I misunderstand what you said and why you said it I would never say something like that even if I felt it. Wow.....I surley never said that , but what it sounded like from your post maybe you could clarify that ? I only say that because I do NOT attack people and from the reading of your response to this thread it sounded or read to me, like I made that statment, I know I didnt so.......I am cuious and maybe you could point me to that thread, thats just rude....and I reseble the stupid hilbilly comment myself so......

And yes they do have names I will PM them to you, they didnt ask to be involved in our "spirtited discussion" but rather emailed or called to offer their advice. When they heard the combo they said no problem. Although 1 still thinks its good for 2 at the most, and they werent all rwd, but all 4.

Cheers

Chris

For your information: Dodge D150 Pickup 1981 to 1986 , probable 250 HP combination, Class N/SA (Current National Record Holder @ .97 under new index) should be easy picking for you! Send us a check for everybody's dinner when you don't show up. Thanks John Irving 741 S/SS This is going to be a lot of fun for everybody!!! Bring cash and I'll sell it to you for $14,000 (Thats a 30-40% profit like your posting said a guy should make)! Then everybody will believe you when you brag about how fast you are!!!!! Cheers

For 3 months 14 hours a day 7 days a week have been focused on making Pomona, well be there......

Your 100% right about one thing, its going to be FUN for everyone !

And in the end thats the whole point, at least it is to us.

Check your PM John....

Added after initial post.....I just wanted to add a few things....some tounge in cheek and I will use the same "positive attiude" that has been used in my direction...

Ok John, youre running at 12 ? The seperation between M,N and O, is 3 TENTHS and some change.....obviously a lot closer between classes......jump to W,V andU what is the seperation ? Nearly 2 SECONDS, For a V car to get 2 under all I need is 200 hp out of a 2700 cc engine to put me 2 SECOND or more under index....and I think I can do more.

But would you have me believe you have some "magic dust" that only you posess to get you .97 under ? When (and I dont have access to the historical data ?) was it rated at the original natural class and its 4 am so Im not doing the math..Q or lower U maybe at that weight at 170 manufacturer hp ? Now if someone jumped on this truck when it was released and ran 2 under what would you say ? Not much, the thing isnt factored correctly and it would get hit right ?

So another combo noone has tried and hasnt gotten hit.....with an oddball motor, that somehow ended up in the classification guides....well why not ? Oh........I fogot .......... only you posess that magic dust........noone else is allowed or they face being chastised publically and treated like "Its not possible someone knows something I dont".............but rather you can run a full second under with an N car/truck that probably started as a T or U,and a low bucker no less, which was the point of this car from my perspective......

Where do they sell this "magic only I can run .97 under N" hence noone no matter how sloppy they see a classification. Because you are doing just that , running a full 2 seconds or more under the original natural class......but.....oooooohhhhh noooooooo noone else could do that on a never refactored combo ?

Where was the truck when it was released ?

BTW I need a 904 core that came out of those trucks, the one with the reinforced tail housing on the 360 numberrs start with 44, got a spare core for sale ?

Im getting punchy....
