Are you sure about the Feather Duster? I think you may be thinking of the '72 Twister. The Feather Duster's were only Slant 6 cars in 1976.

Not 100% sure of the years the "Twister" option was available, but Mopar Steve is correct and I believe those scoops were smaller and non-functional.

is it a stroker engine, or a 340? what type of heads do you run.
I don't think the rulebook is that hard to understand. I doubt you want to build a car to race one of the weight to cubic inches classes such as modified or IHRA Superstock Production.

It's a 340 with j heads, I guess maybe i'm just misunderstanding how the rulebook reads.

Didn't the feather dusters have aluminum hoods and I believe they were the 6cyl. only.

With a stock factory available stroke and OEM part numbered cylinders heads your car can race in IHRA alphabet super stock. Even with the glass hood.
It is a cubic inch to weight catagory where pretty much anything goes with the motor. Contact Mike Baker at IHRA for specifics. mbaker@feldinc.com
