Just remember that it is just a "battery" disconnect...if you are running an alternator your vehicle can continue to run even with the switch in the off position after starting....they make a new switch that has an alternator kill terminal on it....tech is supposed to turn the switch off to test that the vehicle WILL die when switched.....

The one for the alternator is part # is 51-304... it has 4 poles.
