Jason O,
Got photo's of your Uncle's car (Dick Oldfield) at the 1969 (8/10/69)
Super Stock Magazine Nationals at York US 30. With the newer paint job, not the 'Good Guys Hats",,,,Engine must have went bye-bye after that..
RK,
I think the Penn Brothers had something to do with the second ownership of the Sox & Martin 68' Cuda, right after the 70' Winternationals..The only information I could come with, is Sox & Martin won the SS/A class at the
70' Winternationals (Feb 70') 10.44 @ 117.03, which means they were applying the brakes going through the traps...Of course, a couple of those 68' S/S Cuda's with the famous paint scheme were floating around.

RK,
Maybe someone else could make heads-or-tails of the cars you asked about.
I found (3) Sox & Martin car paint schemes.
One with red-base, white hood, blue roof and blue center-stripe.
One with red-base, white hood, blue roof and wider blue center-stripe.
One with red-base, blue hood, blue roof and white center-stripe.
The white center-striped car ran at the 68' NHRA Springnationals, it has the blue-tinted glass with the big round Valvoline decal on the lower portion of the front-fender (behind the wheel well). I believe that is the car that won the SS/B class, but broke during S/S Eliminator.
