We got a chance to look over Jeg's Challenger ....... very nice and friendly folks. Jeg's car appeared to be manually shifted....new Protrans set up with neutral past high gear on shifter (reverse pattern). Looks like going to be a good turnout...hope it does not rain ( looks 50/50tonight ) BTW first couple passes on our truck breaking in new engine/trans/conv., one Full second under (1.30 old index) shifting 5,500 and a hundred plus heavy with the kid driving for first time. We will be hungry and FAST at Pomona as required! Irving Family Racing

Hungry eh ? Looks like I may be buying you dinner after all.....1 under now ? Impressive.

Please dont tell me you like japaneese food though, I just had a "bout" with some eel and octupus sashimi, that well......Japaneese is off my list for a while.

Did you by any chance see if he is running the BS3 with an external crank trigger and if he was running stock coil packs (the square COP)

Cheers

Chris

It could be because they're allowed.

After re-reading GTX JOHN's post where he mentioned seeing the reverse pattern shifter, its unlikely the transmission is computer controlled or electronically shifted. Of the electronic shifted transmissions I seen, you would need to use a forward pattern, steering paddle or button shifter.

Thanks for the clarification.I was leading up to wondering if the trans didn't shift into high due to a computor glich. That's all.I didn't think or say anything wasn't on the up and up.
Sorry if there was any misunderstanding of my original post.
