more BS like chamber mods, rod big end size, etc etc. All this just to satisfy the cheaters whats next airshifters? magnetic clutch releases? . .075 over valves to save heads? Oh I forgot no one in the danny club got caught with those yet, at least that we know maybe next rule enhancement.

Since this rule was effective on 2/8/10 it makes you wonder how many cars will show up at Pomona with clutchless trannies. It would be especially interesting to know this if the car came from the East Coast as they would have had to leave before 2/8/10 to make the trip.

![]() Quote:
Early December a friend asked me if clutchless transmissions were now legal in S/S. I said no. He said G Force had orders for 4 clutchless transmissions specifically for super stock cars. Fast forward to January-I received e-mail from Bruce Bachelder to ask my opinion. By February it now legal. Plenty of time to get a transmission built. NHRA used the democratic way to change the rule: 'Somebody' decides they want a rule change, then approachs NHRA. In turn, they hold a forum to ask everyone their opinion and then change the rule. If anyone opposes, they say they used proper protocol, more people were in favor. (results aren't available to public). Works every time. _______________________________ Andy Stone 1102 A/S 1112 SS/C |
