Compliments to Dunn Benson Dragstrip

That was the first track I went too as a child, I would love to see how it looks with all the changes.

Wow, must be quite an improvement. I used to bracket race a low 5 sec hard-tail RED at that track occasionally and it was always a white knuckle ride in the shutdown. Short, bumpy and rapidly approaching trees. Was a decent bunch of racers though and the owner was quite a character. Glad to see it is getting a new lease on life.

What years did you race there? I was track champ there in 92&93 and the grand champ in 92.
Yes that track has come a long way in a short period. It is a very nice facility.

Hey Chip, I lived in Raleigh and raced at a bunch of the tracks in the area starting in '98. I went to Roxboro and Piedmont quite a bit too. With all those tracks around it seemed like you could race at least 4 days a week during the season. I moved to TN in 2000 and sold the RED and switched to stock. Too much electronic junk in the bracket car for me.
