There are many reasons for some of the discrepencies in the casting #'s over the years . .....The problem is that there is little in the way of documentation to support some of the odd casting #'s that exist . .......I've got a few castings that the #'s dont appear anywhere in either NHRA specs or anywhere else for that matter. .....I think there are at least 3 versions of the 291 casting alone...........some AMC sites state that the 291 casting came after the 895 in '70 production, altho I distinctly remember getting the 895's as replacements back in the early to mid '70's. ......Tom
