[QUOTE=Bruce Noland;174949]Bob,
Please take the time to read my post which you quoted. We all know about the glitch on the sheet.[/QUOTE Bruce, could your explain your post to me if I misunderstood it. If you don't count the AA/s run, the next fastest CJ Qualified in the 20's at .7plus under. You all know the glitch on the sheet now, but not one apologized for all the chatter before it was corrected. I stand by my referance to calling you guys Politicians. Even when the facts are wrong, you think your not!!!!!!!! |

Here is a band-aid for the ford situation AA/SF and AA/SFA looks like they may need their own index anyway. It will not hurt NHRA other than a couple more class trophies, occasionally. Of course, if the manufactures keep up the good (hp) work and availability of buying a factory race car, they may eventually have to make some 5 lb classes.
Curious, was Don Fezell a stocker racer prior to 2009? I couldn't find anything earlier on DRC search. keep smiling! Ernie |

Jack,
I think I'll look elsewhere to find a role model for advice. But thanks just the same. BTW, I never said anything about being angry. Just my 2 cents worth thats all. The CJ's numbers from this moring: 60' = 1.418, 330' = 4.022, 660' = 6.185, @113.68mph, 1000' = 8.052, 1/4 = 9.623 @ 143.57mph. I think that is the most mph run by a Stocker at an nhra event. How many times has this car been raced?

If you multiply a cars ET x it's MPH you come up with a number that can be used to kind of evaluate the cars on track performance.
The higher the number the more the combination is either spinning the tires.....leaving very soft....or slipping in the driveline... The lower the number is usually is where Stockers are.......hooked up....leaving hard....not much top end(MPH) due to cam and head limitations..... Average is 1330 for a bracket type car. Stockers are often under 1320 That Mustang run is at 1380......and it's not slipping the driveline or spinning the tires... 1.41 60' is very slow for a 9.6 ET My assumption is that those cars are capable of much quicker ET's.... I am just a casual observer on these cars. The MPH is the indicator of HP......and they have a lot and it does not take a rocket scientist to figure that out!

I am going to go out on a limb here, but a lot of you made predictions and one of dominance of the class, sorry I don't see it.
Has any driver one more than one National or Divisional race? Has any driver one a Divisional or National Championship? Are there more than 5 showing up for 2 races back to back? These new CJ's have done nothing but get themselves a bunch of HP added to themselves. I agree that I believe they have a lot more potential but as many as there are and under different drivers/groups, even the competition between themselves will get even more HP added. I think there is a lot for them to learn and the sanctioning body to learn and I think they will come to an understanding soon. |
