I would like to get in on this, as i am also another victim of this criminal, he was supposedly building me a carburetor, and this has been going on for over a year now and no carb or money.

You are definately not alone. Scott Perkins has victimized many good people. The drag racers he has stolen from is like a who's who list of good racers and engine builders. Talk about a low life!

E mail the details and we can review the progress. This guy won't learn so we have to stand up and stop him from stealing from others.

why are you changing the boosters anyways? Thats illegal.
I feel like the damage has been done to scott with all the posts on both these sites, and if you want to give money to lawyers to try to get back a couple hundred bucks, than thats your decision. It might be a good time for people to learn how to rework their own "stocker" carbs.
BTW I am not sticking up for anyone here, it just seems like alot of wasted effort from this point forward. I would doubt that Scott will be doing any work for anyone from now on, which is going to make it pretty hard for you to get anything out of him.

Charlie, there is no charge if the city, county or state prosecutor takes up the case. They can go after civil or criminal penalties. No offense, but it's the "oh well" attitude which allows this kind of stuff to happen in our society.
Taking a stand does require work and it is legal (as opposed to beating the pulp out of somebody).
I bought a car from a guy that rolled back odometers. I got it to the Attorney General. The state proved the case and 12 victims received $500 in restitution as a result. He served 120 days in jail. I then sued him in civil court. Knowing my $1500 in attorney fees would be a waste of money. I received a judgement of $15K which I never received a dime. But that was OK with me. And you should see what I did to two of his cars that were on street corners for sale (statute of limitations is long expired!). I later found out (as I later worked at the AG's office), he went from a "coke up the nose, partying lifestyle dude" to virtually living in a bus. Sometimes, screwin' the wrong guy has some pretty serious consequences. Criminal minds rely on that "oh well" attitude.

In NC you can reup a judgement after 7 years for 7 more. If you know the system you will get paid one day. I actually had a landlord pay me the security deposit his renter had that I had a judgement against and since he was a licensed realtor he couldnt hide it due to escrow account laws. After 3x of serving the realtor to get the money he asked me how I did it.

You would be surprised at the number of people that Scott Perkins has stolen carbs and money from. That is why I refuse to go away. Scott will have to look over his shoulder for the rest of his life, because I will never stop until the law catches up to his criminal acts.

Like you Jeff, I am pretty sure I won't get any money back. In fact it will cost me some, but if I don't do something, Scott Perkins willl just keep stealing from others and I just can't sit for that.

I also got e mails that he has another victim that he met at a Knoxville swap meet. Took his carbs and money. Now---no where to be found.

Of course he CAN be found living off of his parents in Bowling Green. I did hear back from a guy that Scott took carbs and money from just a month ago. This gentleman knocked on the door and Scott answered. I am sure it was Scott's worst nightmare. He got his untouched carbs back, but of course the money was long gone.

Charlie, for what it's worth Scott has a carb of mine he's had for about 10 months. I gave him money to do some work on it and the money and the carb are gone. Scott does good work he's worked on my other two carbs but he has screwed a lot of people in the last year. I talked to him plain in Bowling Green at the end of the season and he promised me he would have my carb done in a couple of weeks. He is a liar and a thief. I wouldn't defend him if I were you.

WOW,why would any one defend this guy. He should be making license plates rather than working on carbs.

I said I wasnt defending anyone, I have never had any real business dealings with him other than I bought some metering blocks from him a couple years ago. I am sorry he took advantage of you people. I just was questioning if this was the way to handle it, and why people were changing boosters.
I am sure in the end it will all work out.

I have to tell you all, I got my carb back from Scott last week. It seems like he is trying to get his s#$t together. He is working for Dale Meers doing carb work and I know Jim has his carb also.
